Chalie loves working with clients on commissions to help bring something special to their spaces. She only takes on a limited number of private commissions per year for those looking for that exact piece or who may have missed out on a previous original.
Is Chalie accepting commissions for both her Seasons and Places series?
No, Chalie is only accepting Seasons series commissions. However, please email (via the contact page) regarding any enquiries for Places series paintings and we will provide you with further details.
When is the next available completion month in 2021?

How can I be added to the Seasons series commission waitlist for 2022?
By sending an email (via the contact page) that includes dimensions sought, your delivery postcode and the Title/s of previously completed works you love and would like used as a reference. Please note the commissioned piece will not be a direct replication of a past work.
Are there minimum dimensions for commissioned paintings?
Yes, minimum dimensions for commissioned paintings are: Landscape/Portrait 94 cm x 124 cm & Squared 100 cm x 100 cm.
I'm not sure what dimensions would suit my space?
The general rule when hanging a painting above furniture is it should be between 70%-80% of the width of the furniture anchoring the painting. And, it should be hung between 20 cm - 30 cm above same regardless of how high your ceilings are despite the natural inclination to hang artworks higher. If the painting is not being hung above a piece of furniture, then the guide is its center should be at approx. 155 cm from the ground.
I'm still not sure of sizing?
We highly recommend taping up some paper in the dimensions you are considering so you can somewhat visualise the painting before finalising sizing.
Is a commission deposit required?
Yes, a 50% deposit is required.
Can I pay via a payment plan instead of a 50% deposit?
Yes, we are happy to arrange an instalment payment plan.
What happens once I have emailed Chalie to be added to the waitlist?
Chalie will contact the people at the top of the waitlist via email with a quote, in order of when they registered, to offer commission openings.
When should I expect a reply to my initial email?
All emails are generally responded to within 5 business days. Please remember to check your spam/junk folders as sometimes replies may be filtered out.
If I proceed with a commission what is the process?
Once the 50% deposit or agreed instalment payments are received, your custom canvas is ordered and once manufactured is delivered to Chalie's studio. Chalie keeps her clients involved as she brings their paintings to life with progress images and short videos. Once Chalie feels your commission is complete we will email you final images and a short video. Alternatively, you are welcome to visit her studio.
Chalie does paint the canvas edges as part of her process however, her painting method can leave bits of colour on same. Chalie prefers to frame all her artwork as she believes it really completes the piece. All framing is completed by industry specialists and we do not mark up these costs.
Many of Chalie's clients prefer raw ash and oak but white, black and darker timber frames are all available to suit your personal preference and decor.
When is final payment due?
Final payment is required prior to delivery.
Chalie creates her Seasons series paintings on custom made stretched canvases. We do not remove the canvas from the stretched frame for shipping as damage to the painting may occur during this process, and when being re-stretched.
What are the delivery options?
Free within 50km of the Melbourne CBD, Monday to Friday during business hours. If you are located outside this region, please email Chalie your postcode so any applicable shipping costs can be provided within your commission quote.
Interstate and International
Once you have supplied us with your delivery details a shipping quote will be obtained and the cost outlined within your quote. All artwork is professionally packaged by Pack & Send who coordinate delivery through a chosen provider. The artwork is insured, and a tracking reference will be provided. In case of damage, clients must provide photographs of damage to both packaging and item. Insurance is only payable on the sale price of the damaged item, not shipping price.
Do you use any other couriering/delivery services for interstate or international deliveries?
Currently, we only ship through Pack & Send or specialist art couriers who insure artwork.
